Invest for the Future
The MEGT Foundation seeks your support to promote high quality opportunities for gifted and talented students. It is imperative for school districts to identify these students. Specialized curriculum and teaching methods are needed for those whose abilities exceed the class average. It is wrong to waste talent, inhibit potential or stifle initiative. Imagination, ideas and innovation must be recognized and supported. Gifted students who remain unchallenged can languish and their full potential may never be realized.
Return on Investment
Educators are invited to apply for grants that will provide a challenging learning environment for gifted and talented students. Previous grants include: support for an artist in residence to encourage drama, writing, art; funding for the creation of challenge math units for gifted students; professional development for teachers to implement programs for gifted and talented students.
Help Us to Meet the Needs of Gifted and Talented Children
Minnesota, a longtime leader in education, does not fully fund the programs necessary to identify gifted and talented students or provide the necessary funding to promote educational and social-emotional support for gifted and talented learners. For a state to compete, it must lead in all aspects of education.

There is a way to make a difference! The MEGT Foundation is engaged in a statewide fundraising effort to provide grants for educators throughout Minnesota working with gifted and talented students – students who could change the world! We fund innovative projects that enable educators to deliver the opportunities and services that Minnesota’s gifted and talented students need.
MEGT Mission Statement
Helping to ensure that gifted and talented students are identified and receive the education necessary to achieve their full human potential. These objectives and purposes include but are not limited to the following:
- Support educators to meet the needs of gifted and talented students;
- Support consistent identification of gifted and talented students across Minnesota;
- Build an awareness of the needs of gifted and talented students with parents, teachers, school administrators and businesses.
- Establish relationships with organizations whose goals are consistent with our mission statement.

The number of students impacted by our Foundation grants is entirely dependent on the number of donations we receive.
